This week we're featuring the amazing Marna Grobler who was looking for a challenge and found it by pursuing Triathlons!
Below Marna share with us how she stays motivated and keeps moving forward.
How do you stay motivated when times get tough? What advice would you give people out there that are thinking of giving up?
I try to always remember why I started this journey, and what joy it has given me. For me, it’s important to set regular new goals however small. This gives me a reason to keep going.
What got you started to take on this journey?
I felt the need for a new challenge and a change after years of running, triathlon was the most logic option.
What new challenges are you looking forward to in the new year?
Tackling the Knysna Extreme Triathlon and qualifying as an aqua aerobics instructor.
Advice you can give to someone who wants to get into your sport/line of work? Where should they start or where can they learn more?
Running is a wonderful and fulfilling sport. Start with a pair of comfortable running shoes and of course a pair of SOX. For more information go to www.50andme.co.za
How do you relax and give your mind and body a break? Do you think that rest is just as important as hard work?
I am a firm believer in rest and giving the body a break. Rest gives your body time to replenish and time for muscles to recover. Performance will be compromised without rest. My fav go to is a relaxing bath.
